Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of children's memory as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victimization in court. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive She has also received a number of grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards the national level and international. She has worked with many organisations and governments all over the world to conduct policy and research relating to children who are victimized by the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was president of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychological Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
